Is "refurbished" risky for production workloads?
Not with ServerFin. Every refurbished system runs a 72-hour burn-in covering CPU stress (Prime95), memory (memtest86+ at least 2 passes), storage (fio mixed read/write), network (iperf3 sustained), and thermal load. We ship the log with the unit. Failure rate in production on Grade A units is under 0.5% in year one.
How do condition grades work?
Grade A: near-new, minimal cosmetic wear. Grade B: light wear. Grade C: visible wear, no functional impact. Grade New: factory-sealed. See each product page for warranty eligibility.
Do you offer DDP shipping?
Yes. UK: all duties, VAT, and shipping included. EU: DDP via OSS/IOSS — your invoice shows the correct VAT rate and we handle customs. US: DHL Express DDP — duties and taxes included in the quoted price, no customs surprises.
When does the US distribution centre open?
Target this year. Candidate locations: Dallas, Columbus (Ohio), Reno. Until then, US orders ship from UK via DHL Express DDP with 3–5 business day transit.
Can you match competitor prices?
On like-for-like configurations with comparable condition grade, burn-in, and warranty, we'll match or beat. Email enterprise@serverfin.com with the competing quote.
Do you sell to individuals or only businesses?
Both. B2B and B2C. Our checkout supports VAT-registered business buyers (EU reverse charge where applicable) and end consumers with VAT-inclusive pricing. Account creation optional.
How quickly can you build a custom configuration?
7–10 business days from signed-off spec for virtualisation, storage, and 1–2 GPU AI nodes. 10–15 business days for 4–8 GPU systems or components requiring special order.
What happens to my data on a trade-in?
All drives undergo NIST SP 800-88 Rev.1 erasure. You receive a certificate of destruction with serial numbers. If erasure isn't possible (failed drives), we physically shred and certify.
